A customer approached us with a unique project - to create a customized bust of the composer Mozart using 3D printing. The client had access to a high-resolution 3D scan of the original sculpture, but needed a version that would fit perfectly into a specific space in the home.
How we worked with 3D modeling and 3D printing to make the bust
We at RPS Sweden received the 3D file and processed the model to meet the customer's wishes. The work included, among other things:
- Scaling of the model to achieve the exact size you want
- Digital cutting to create a flat back, so that the bust could be placed tightly against the wall
Once the model was fully customized, the bust was 3D printed using high-quality FDM technology. The result was an impressive and durable sculpture that combined classic artistry with modern 3D printing technology.
